Dursey Island

In 1994 I was flying in a Bolkow helicopter  with Capt. Mick Conneely between the Bull Rock lighthouse and the Calf Rock when I noticed out of the window an interesting view of Dursey, which I snapped with my trusty Canon A-1 using colour slide film. I should have taken several shots, but hindsight is wonderful. Little did I realise how popular my shot would be. I made a postcard from the shot, helped by Penny Durell who was writing a book on the island which later became Discover Dursey. She wrote the text that appeared on the back of the postcard. The postcard sold in its thousands. Anyway June 7th 2016 was a nice day so I took my drone Eagle Eye for a flight off the western end and the above shot is one of many I took.
