Fastnet lighthouse

The Fastnet lighthouse off the south coast of Ireland. I took this end of June 2015 during my Southern Irish Lighthouse Tour. There had been a storm the day before and the sea was taking quite a while to calm. It was touch and go whether we would make it out there. The same thing happened at the start of August when I returned to the Fastnet, it was raining the day before, flat calm the day we went and a hurricane the day after. Not the easiest of places to visit. I have been there several times by helicopter, landing there in 1993 for a two hour visit and look round with the keeper at the time Dick O'Driscoll. Even after so many visits I still get a buzz of excitement when I go there. I hope you like this new picture which I have added to my portfolio. picture by John Eagle
